Overview

Investigate the rise of Burun and Renegade activity at the Burin Fortress. Three dungeons range from level 40 to level 80.

Walkthrough & Notes

1. Head to Yanshi and speak to Ydnew. She will direct you to a Burun Fortress at 25.8S, 46.3E, to see if you can find explanation for the rise of Burun and Renegade activity.
2. Make your way to the Burun Fortress south of Yanshi.
   • Route: From Yanshi head to the Swamp Temple Place settlement portal at 10.3S 45.7E.
3. Pick up Blueprints for a Burun Fortress on a table (25.8S, 46.3E) and two A Missives on the ground nearby.
4. Once you have the blueprints, run to the Hidden Entrance dungeon at 24.3S, 46.3E.
5. In Hidden Entrance and the next three dungeons, collect 11 Reports to Niarltah.
   • Reports 1 and 2 are found in the Hidden Entrance.
   • Reports 3 and 4 are found in the Underway.
   • Reports 5, 6, 7, and 8 are found in the Tunnels.
   • Reports 9, 10, and 11 are found in the Halls.
6. Work through the linear dungeon and locate two reports. At the end of the dungeon, take the portal to Underway.
7. After collecting two reports, enter the portal to Tunnels.
8. Collect four reports and enter the portal to Halls.
9. Collect three reports.
10. Return to Ydnew in Yanshi and give them all 11 books for your rewards.

Dialog

Opening Dialog

Ydnew tells you, "Hail, friend. My name is Ydnew. I have been sent by High Queen Elysa to discuss the frequency with which the Burun have been appearing. Further, I am here to see that we keep close attention on the movements of the Burun and their new allies, the Renegades."

Ydnew tells you, "The events of the past few months has brought a great deal of consternation into the High Queen's court. Since Rage Lao mistakenly opened the first portals from the world that these creatures came from, we have wondered what they were. We still know very little, but we are confident that we will learn more about them soon."

Ydnew tells you, "In the past few weeks, we have seen a rise in Renegade and Burun activity near the old swamp temple near 25s and 46e."

Ydnew tells you, "I have been given leave to reward adventurers who assist us in finding out as much information as they can about the new relationship that the Renegades have forged with these Burun. Please use caution when approaching the temple. We know that they have enclosed the structure and are busy working toward some other nefarious end as we speak."

Ydnew tells you, "If you begin to become overwhelmed, please retreat. We have no cause for people to needlessly endanger themselves against this threat."

Handing in A Missive

You allow Ydnew to examine your A Missive.

Ydnew tells you, "Another letter with information of a secret location. Haven't you found anything worth while yet?"

Ydnew tells you, "A letter explaining something secret, eh? Perhaps this will provide you with better clues as to where true information can be found. You should keep it."

Handing in "Report to Niarltah" (1 and 2)

You allow Ydnew to examine your Report to Niarltah.

Ydnew tells you, "Interesting. This is the preliminary report on what the renegades have been able to learn about the Burun thus far. I'd be interested in and reward you for any further missives."
