I admit, the runes of old Dericost can be an intriguing and worthwhile subject of inquiry, and its inscriptions are uncommonly well-preserved, but one would think that the monolith would be a low priority in such times as this.

- According to a Stormwaltz quote, the book was written before the Empyrean Eipoth system was created and in reality, the "around year 783" date was completely random. It can however roughly be fit into the timeline. The actual date was RE 895, making the prediction about 100 years off, which for the Empyreans who live 1000 years, would be similar to being off by 10 years for humans. [1]
